It’s been getting cold in San Diego in the mornings and evenings. Nice and sunny during the day. Freezing at night. There’s nothing better than settling in for a cold night with a warm blanket, tea, and book. Tea has been an important part of my alcohol-free life. It’s so soothing and comforting and an art of itself. I really love chai—I fell in love with it on my trip to India. But I also really love sleep and try not to drink any caffeine after 2 p.m., which usually means I go without.
Until I found this Herbal Republic herbal chai tea, with zero caffeine. It’s made with cinnamon and cardamon and full of beautiful whole spices and herbs and even apple pieces. I topped it off with Trader Joe’s pumpkin spice almond milk for comfort in a cup.
Herbal Republic also has a non-caffeinated Earl Grey made from Rooibos tea. It has the essence of bergamot and tiny blue flowers in the mix. Another favorite I can add to my roster of nighttime or evening teas. Find both teas in the link below!
